Damage Reduction Medals Review - [1] Fujitora Corazon Set
Gaminsight - One Piece Bounty Rush - Damage Reduction Medals Review #1 Fujitora Corazon Set
On this article, im talking about one of the best medal set for defenders in OPBR, Fujitora - Corazon set. This is just my personal review, so there still many flaws about my explanation left and right. Feel free to comment.
Timestamp of Review: Season 66 League Battle (October 2021)
Newest Regular Medal:
- Monet
Newest Event Medals:
- Counter Shock Medal (Law Punk Hazard Event)
- Land of the Dead Medal (Caesar Clown Event)
This duo medals (Fujitora and Corazon) is most known as the core of popular trio damage reduction sets in game. Both has unique trait “5% damage reduction when in the area around your captured treasure” and has potential to make best trio with other medals which has tags such as Donquixote Family, Navy or Dressrosa.
3rd medal must has at least extra damage reduction from unique trait (5%) or from Donquixote Family tag (extra 7% damage reduction when you are alone in treasure area, for pair tag). Possible active tags on this set are Dressrosa (Skill 1 CD), Navy (Skill 2 CD), Paramecia (Dodge CD) and Donquixote Family (Damage Reduction).
Playstyle of this set
- Being ultra tanky when you are alone in your treasure area, specially if equip on units with same damage reduction trait condition (in your treasure area). Most of defenders with this set usually squishy when the get attacked outside their treasure area.
- Doesnt have capture speed trait, so dont force defender with this set to try capturing full gauge treasure alone when there are possibility of being attacked, since it takes around 16 seconds to fully capturing that treasure. You’ll widely open from any attacks and since 1 of damage reduction trait active on your treasure area, you will take big damage if you cant perfect dodge the incoming attack. Except if your character has big damage reduction outside your treasure area or has big defense buff activate. You can stay guarding your 1st or 2nd treasure and keep the score 2-3 so your team can get 2nd team boost in game (which is arguably has high chance of winning the game)
- Other playsyle depend on 3rd medal equipped (explained below on its respective section)
Suitable Units/Characters for This Set
- Every defenders that has minimum 30% damage reduction trait in your treasure area so you can stack their damage reduction as high as possible, such as Onigashima Kid, General Franky, Garp, Fujitora, Blackbeard, Katakuri, Magelan, Sengoku, Onigashima Luffy, Ennies Lobby Robin, Amaru Enel, Mihawk, Perona, Sugar, etc.
- Any defenders without damage reduction trait activation in enemy treasure or when your teammate is around. You will never stacked your damage reduction as high as possible if you play as some defender like Kin’emon since their damage reduction trait and medal’s damage reduction trait can never activate on same time. So avoid using this set to defenders like those.
- Attackers that already has high damage increase from their traits and also has high damage reduction trait which has possibilty to activate on same time as damage reduction from medals trait, such as Douglas Bullet.
List of Suitable 3rd Medal
If you want to get minimum 15% up to 20% damage reduction, below are lists of 3rd medals to complete this best damage reduction medal set:
1. Hobby-Hobby (Sugar Event) or Buffalo (Event)
Theres no big difference in term of damage reduction, since both has only 3% extra damage reduction from their unique trait. Condition for Sugar is when your HP is more than 70% and for Buffalo is when you are alone in treasure area (same as Donquixote Family tag’s trait).
If you use Buffalo as 3rd medal, you will only have 2 damage reduction conditions (10% in your treasure area and 10% when you are alone in your treasure area), so its easy to manageable. You have 2 variations of % damage reduction activate (10% and 20%)
If use Hobby-Hobby as 3rd medal, you will have 3 damage reduction conditions (10% in your treasure area, 7% when alone in treasure area and 3% when HP above 70%). So you have 6 variations of % damage reduction activate (3%, 7%, 10%, 13%, 17% and 20% all depend on conditions)
You can choose Sugar or Buffalo, and you still have potential to reach maximum 20% damage reduction in game (2nd highest % damage reduction in game on Season 66). Choose what you want as 3rd medal depend on what you have on your box or what your character specialize.
2. Stick-Stick (Trebol Event), Diamante (Event) or Baby 5
Choose one of this medals as 3rd medal if the units you want to equips also heavy rely on one of their skill (usually recovery, wall, counter, defense buff, invincible or big damage skills). You still have potential to reach 17% damage reduction from 2 conditions (in your treasure area and alone in treasure area) with access to more faster one of your skill cooldown than if you use Hobby-Hobby or Buffalo as 3rd medal.
Use Stick-Stick (Trebol) as 3rd medal if the unit has important skill 2 for stall (with recovery, wall, counter, defense buff, knockback, trait area etc) or has potential to mass killing your enemies but has long duration for cooldown (>30 seconds). Stick-Stick reduce time of Skill 2 by 8% for each your teammate KO’ed. So in case 1 or all of your teammates getting KO’ed and leave you alive alone in your treasure, best condition for your medal set achieveable, highest damage reduction from your medals and best skill for defense is ready. List of defenders that good with Trebol as 3rd medal are: Onigashima Kid, Blackbeard, Onigashima Luffy, Amaru Eneru, Sengoku, Green Defender Kid, Corazon, Perona and many more defenders with good skill 2 but long base cooldown time.
Use Diamante (Event) as 3rd medal if the unit has important skill 2 with high crit chance and multi hits. The very suitable one is for Superhuman Katakuri. Other units which can also getting benefit with Diamante as 3rd medal are Onigashima Luffy (multi hits skill 2), Green Defender Kid (crit buff and multi hits skill 2), Sengoku (high crit chance on skill 1), Onigashima Kid (multi hits, can hits enemies while downed, and can hits multiple enemies at once, but with lesser crit chance), etc. Keep in mind you need 3x crit occured when using Diamante medal to get 9% time reduce to become better than Trebol as 3rd medal.
Use Baby 5 as 3rd medal if the unit has important skill 1. Baby 5 medal boost cooldown speed of Skill 1 by 13% when you are in your treasure area. Big damage reduction (15%+) with big skill 1 CD (speed or time reduce) has many medal set variations in this game. If you dont want to build another set, then use Baby 5 as 3rd medal for Fujitora – Corazon – Baby 5 set. This set is suit for defenders such as Ace-Marco, Mihawk, Magelan, Fujitora, Caesar Clown, etc.
3. Sugar (Non Event)
If you want set with 17% damage reduction with access for 3% recovery after knockback enemy, then use regular Sugar medal as 3rd medal. Equip this as 3rd medal on defenders with spammable knockback skill/s or defenders that you dont need to worry about their skill cooldown (from Trebol, Diamante or Baby 5) or additional +3% damage reduction (from Event Hobby-Hobby or Buffalo) or for defenders who dont have recovery trait. Thinking of certain defenders with this condition such as Magelan (Skill 2 already spammable and skill 1 also spammable if always getting hits) and Corazon (because of spammable grenade every 10 seconds but long skill 2 CD for defense buff so kinda test yourself whats better, spamming silence and 30% defense buff or spamming 3% HP recovery). Thats just the examples, if you want to use Fujitora – Corazon – Regular Sugar event medal, then check your unit traits firts to look what more suitable)
4. Damage Reduction Medals with Navy/ Dressrosa Tag and without DQ Family Tag
Minimum has 5% damage reduction from unique trait with some extra tag for Skill 1 (Dressrosa), Skill 2 (Navy) or Dodge (Paramecia). The good point of this 3rd medal is you only have 1 condition to activate 15% damage reduction, which is being in your treasure area. No other important trait other than damage reduction from unique trait, skill cooldown and dodge cooldown from tags. List of 3rd medal are Sabo Medal (Blue Defender Sabo) for 14% skill 1 cd and Hero Medal (Non Event 4* Garp) or Sengoku (Non-Event) for extra Navy tag (20% skill 2) without any skill 1 tag. This set usually suitable for almost every defenders in One Piece Bounty Rush.
5. Other Donquixote Family Medals
Use other Donquixote Family medal available on your box as 3rd medal just for the Donquixote Family tag. The options are DQ Family in Dressrosa for skill 1 tag (some with paramecia) such as Billow-White (Runner Doffy) and Hard-Boiled (Senor Pink) medal for 8% capture speed, Pica (Event) for 5% damage increase in your treasure area and Dellinger (Event) for 90% crit buff. Other Donquixote Family outside of Dressrosa (losing Skill 1 tag) but provide extra Skill 2 tag (Navy tag) such as Vergo (Event) for 8% skill 2 time reduce after capture and Bamboo Demon (Non-Event Vergo) for 5% damage increase to logia units. Monet has good unique trait (2% skill 1 time reduce for being hit), but without dressrosa, navy and paramecia tag, better to use Monet medal on other set (will explain on other article) such as Corazon – Monet - Caesar – or Corazon – Monet – General Franky. The last 3rd medal from Donquixote Family is Young Master Medal (Blue Attacker Doffy), for 5% damage increase and extra paramecia tag (No Skill 1 or Skill 2 tag).
There are so many good alternative 3rd medal suitable for Fujitora – Corazon set. But because of my review only for minimum 15% damage reduction achievable, those are my personal point about the 3rd medal to complete Fujitora – Corazon set. Dont forget to read my other article about One Piece Bounty Rush on this blog Gaminsight.
